Meet Dippalli Naik
I am a specialist employment lawyer with over 18 years experience dealing with claims, negotiations and settlements for employees and employers. During this time I have advised clients on all areas of employment law and dealt with a full range of complex dismissal claims and multi-strand discrimination matters. I have particularly focused on settlement negotiations in recent years. I regularly settle cases pre-claim, during claim preparation and during Tribunal proceedings. I also conduct mediations with clients.

I have advised a variety of individuals including senior executives, directors, managing directors, CEOs and HR professionals. I have also advised companies of all sizes and industries which has provided me with valuable insight when advising employees on their options and dealing with negotiations.
Recent cases:
- Advising senior employees in a multi–strand settlement case pre claim including whistleblowing and constructive dismissal
- Advising an employee in respect of an unfair redundancy dismissal and obtaining a reasonable settlement despite protracted negotiations
- Assisting an employee in respect of a performance related dismissal without due process to reach a swift and significant settlement
- Negotiating a sizeable settlement for a senior manager following his unfair dismissal with the assistance of legal expenses insurance
- Acting for a senior executive in her settlement negotiations against a bank securing a reasonable package on termination
- Acting for an employee accused of bullying and securing her an advantageous settlement package and favourable reference
My Approach
I have worked in several private practice law firms, as well as in-house, and appreciate the need to provide clear and cost-effective advice to clients to achieve the best outcome possible, allowing them to move forward successfully.
I recognise that employment issues are often especially difficult for clients because they affect so much more than just the employment relationship. I always provide honest, transparent but sympathetic advice to my clients and I work out a strategy that suits their needs, involving them every step of the way so we are a team. Clients have often described me as dedicated, and a huge source of support and perspective when they needed it most.
Settlement is often the best outcome for a client and I use my vast experience and knowledge in this area to achieve this wherever possible using an amicable but no-nonsense approach. Where settlement cannot be achieved and litigation is the next advisable step, I have many years experience preparing Employment Tribunal cases and handling advocacy, often still settling them during the lead up to a Tribunal. In all cases, my ultimate goal is for clients to feel happy with the service and outcome received, allowing them to move forwards with confidence and closure.
